Job Summary
The HRIS Reporting Analyst's primary focus is to design, develop, test, and implement HRIS reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide key insights into HR/People Analytics. The HRIS Reporting Analyst will facilitate changes to these tools as needed in response to HRIS upgrades and other technical projects, applying fixes and conducting testing as needed. They will develop user training materials and maintain documentation for their work. To provide a comprehensive overview of campus operations and assist with forecasting and decision making, they will also assist with data and reporting needs of the Administration and Finance Division.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Writes complex queries utilizing reporting tools (SQL, DAX).
2. Modifies standard queries and develop custom reports for ongoing customer needs.
3. Creates dashboard with key metrics/KPI for campus partners to understand people related metrics and trends using campus approved data analytics and project management software/platforms.
4. Collaborates with HR (Human Resources) functional experts and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define requirements, and deliver solutions that address business needs.
5. Provides analytics on HR processes and data related to reporting of human capital.
6. Participates as part of data governance team. Ensures accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data dashboards through regular audits.
7. Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS, continuously increasing understanding of HR practices and HRIS applications/tools/metrics knowledge.
8. Develops user procedures and guides. Trains stakeholders on reports and dashboards.
9. Prepares ad hoc reporting that assists with measuring department performance and/or effectiveness.
10. Participates in projects as needed related to HR technology and analytics.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education with focus in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field
Required Experience
Three (3) years of experience in HRIS, including HR-related report writing and analytics
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Preferred Experience
Writing complex SQL
Experience with cloud based HRIS systems such as Oracle and Workday
Experience with data analytics, preferably in higher education
Use of Power BI, Tableau, and Envisio
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Understanding of quantitative and qualitative measurement and data/system design principles
Knowledge of data management software platforms such as SAS, Power BI, and Tableau
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite; specifically adept with the use of Excel pivot tables and data manipulation)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills with excellent phone, teleconference, and e-mail etiquette
